Operand,
 
die Größe in einem mathematischen oder computertechnischen Ausdruck, auf die eine Rechen- oder Verknüpfungsvorschrift (ein Operator) oder eine Funktion angewandt wird. Der Ausdruck »4 + 7« bedeutet beispielsweise, dass die beiden Operanden 4 und 7 addiert werden.
